Which Rossi suit should you pick?

If you want the Rossi most people picture, it’s blue and fluo yellow on a Yamaha, so start with the Yamaha 46 suit or the flames design. The Grazie Vale! suit is a tribute piece and works best for riders who want to show where their love of the sport began.

The 46th birthday suit is the newest design and the most dramatic, with black and gold. Pair it with the matching jacket if you want something for the road as well.

How the suits are made

Every suit on this page is built the same way underneath, whatever the colours:

  • Shell: top-grain cowhide, 1.2-1.3 mm, as standard. Kangaroo leather is available as an upgrade if you want a lighter suit (kangaroo vs cowhide explained).
  • Stretch Kevlar panels (standard), with an optional Schoeller Keprotec upgrade.
  • CE-certified armor (Level 1 and Level 2) at the shoulders, elbows, knees and back, all removable.
  • External shoulder, elbow and knee protection, removable knee sliders, and double and triple stitching at the stress points.

You choose the build when you order:

  • 1-piece or 2-piece suit (2-piece: jacket and pants join with a connecting zip). Not sure which? Read one-piece vs two-piece race suits.
  • Men’s or women’s fit, standard sizes US 36-50 (XS-4XL), or custom sizing from your measurements
  • Hump: none, standard, ventilated or hydro
  • Perforation: none, chest, front or full suit

The jackets

The jackets are for the road rather than the track. Each one is top-grain cowhide, 1.2-1.3 mm, with stretch Kevlar panels at the sleeves and cuffs and CE-certified armor (Level 1 and Level 2) at the shoulders, elbows and back, all removable. They’re made to order in sizes XS to 4XL; check each jacket’s page for the sizing options.

No. They’re replicas made in the style of his leathers and tribute designs. They aren’t official merchandise and aren’t licensed or endorsed by Valentino Rossi, VR46 or any team or sponsor.

Can I ride on track in a Rossi suit?

Yes. They’re built as riding suits with CE-certified armor (Level 1 and Level 2) and knee sliders. If you go for a 2-piece, check your track day organiser’s rules first.
